FIRST COMMENT! yes!! This is max from maxnorman.net. I have just downloaded the show and I am waiting to play it.
let me just be the FIRST to say that the first post was stupid and pointless and I hate it when people do that.
Hey censorme chill out man let this max dude have his moment in the sun my friend, come all lets just all get along man, just chill!!!
Hey Censorme,
FOURTH COMMENT! And I just downloaded the show and can't wait neither :P Now excuse me while i bask...
I thought Korn was a band?!?!?!
what about hair. Metal guys always have that serious hair thing. is that included with style?
Good to hear Jon's got a dubious past too. Never made it Donnington, but I was a big Suicidal Tendencies fan and had a denim jacket covered with the likes of Slayer, Megadeth and Metallica. Also I biroed in Enya too just to be inclusive...
Wohs Doog yrev.
Nothing wrong with being a Metal fan...
I used to play in a Metal band... not keyboards though!
However, I do play keyboards (as well as guitar & bass... not at the same time!) So Rob isn't alone in liking Keyboards. However, I don't know the different models, and I don't own a single KraftWerk or Jan Hammer album, so I'm not as geeky as Rob :p
Back to the ROCK!
I never got to Donnington either, but I've been at the front of an Iron Maiden concert. I used to have a leather jacket, ripped jeans and Cowboy boots. I also had the denim jacket covered in patches from AC/DC to Guns N Roses. it had a great full-back patch of Eddie from Iron Maiden.
Although I think I'm turning into a bit of an aging rocker, I don't care much for some of the more modern gimmick bands (The Darkness, Slipknot). GWAR were funny though.
Great show guys! Turn it up to 11!
Wizard's sleeve ? Rob, I'm shocked at the smut that you, Mr Clean, are aware of...!!!
I nearly fell off the ladder as I was painting my livingroom ceiling whilst catching up !
What can I say, the whole first post thing is just pointless...
anywho...
violin in metal:
They didn't have one usually, but MEGADEATH had a wicked violin riff in their song "Insomnia"
I like to see is that if you do look up "wizards sleeve" in Google. You can buy it on ebay ;-)
Green Day had violin in their song Good Riddance.. It was good!
Robs rendition of 'we will rock you' was fantastic - I'm glad I wasn't in a public place when I listened to that. Great show.
