Fabulous show, Jon and Rob. It is so very good to laugh out loud again after a hard day's work. Your absence was greatly missed!

Marilyn, don't you mean their PRESENCE was greatly missed? ;-) (I am a pedant!)

Rob, Jack can't be one of the others as he's featured in a number of flashbacks, some of which were on the plane.

Ooh, did they talk about Lost in this show? I can't wait to listen, I'm addicted to Lost, just watched 2 episodes in a row tonight.

Do the Others know that they are Others (in the same way that some Cylons know that they are)?? Jack may not realise who he is. I wouldn't put it past those sneaky twisted Lost script writers to do something like that to it's viewers.

We saw Ethan Rom in one of Kates flashback episodes driving away from a motel with his family - so the Others must have originated from off the island.

Anyone see this weeks with Mr E? I'd been thinking nanobots as one of the experiments for a while, now I'm pretty sure. It would explain how Locke can walk...

What do you all think?

Rob

Already got 2 from listeners, just gotta wait until the appropriate episodes get shown on UK TV before we can release them.

Ain't we nice?

Aww, and I was just thinking of sending you guys a top 10 Lost characters list. I guess I'll have to think of something else now!

That's an interesting line of thought Bazza, I hadn't thought of that before but you could be right.

!! SPOILERS if you haven't seen Season 2 yet !!

I think the Others (if they exist) do know they're the Others, they killed / took away most of the survivors from the back of the tail, and Ethan wasn't very nice either ...
I was sure for a while now that the "monster" wasn't a living creature. It seems to detect people only if they're moving. It looks pretty cool with all that black smoke as well!

Thanks, Bryan! Right you are..

It had been a really long day. Brain and hands were no longer communicating properly.

Welcome to the world's finest Lost and binliner discussion forum.... ;-)

Don't watch Lost - found it tedious and boring after a few shows. It's like Twin Peaks was back in 1990 - 1991; I was on various newsgroups back then discussing the meaning of it all and who did what (this was in pre-Web days). But I LOVE Twin Peaks.... "The owls are not what they seem !"

Meanwhile, back to the immensely superior Twin Peaks.....

Remember David Duchovny as transvestite FBI agent Denise ? David Lynch as Gordon, the deaf FBI boss ?

Wyndham Earle ? Annie ? Bob ? Andy ? Lucy ? LMFAP ? The Red Room ? One-eyed Jacks ? Audrey tying a cherry stem in a knot with her tongue ?!!!!

Halcyon days. 'Lost' isn't fit to lick Twin Peaks' boots ;-)

That's it - I'm definitely off to hide now... heh heh... two episodes of TOTP to catch up on...

Sadly, I've never seen Twin Peaks. I was too young to watch it when it was first on TV, and there haven't been any repeats since then :(

So back to Lost! ;)
I don't mind the flashbacks, OK so sometimes they overdo them, but I'm sure they ARE important for the show and when we know enough about the backgrounds of the characters, we might also find out why they're on the island and what's going on. They all seem to have pretty messed up stories and some weird things in common. Also, a lot of them seem to have met or seen each other before, even if they don't know it, like Ethan coming from the motel when Kate went in, or Hurley being on TV in Korea when Jin went to that minister's house, or Desmond and Jack meeting on that stadium ... I really liked Desmond by the way, I hope they bring him back in the show.
