Just to let you guys know, the good thing about the multiple search engines in the search bar is not so you can search Yahoo and Google for the same thing. It's that you can automatically search non-general search engines without having to load their website. I use it to search things like IMDB, Wikipedia, Amazon and eBay.

I love it for the tabs, plus the plugins and extensions. There's a Firefox extension for my podcatcher, RSSRadio, which allows me to right-click any page containing an RSS feed and it's added to my list of shows to catch. Luvly luvly biscuits (as they used to say here in Scotland).

Oh yeah, and FireFTP (although my old Pentium 2 antique eventually causes it to shut down as the memory starts to creak).

I have to say, FireFox is THE single best browser anywhere.

One of the features I love and use regularly (that has not been mentioned in the show or in any comments) is the ability to 'steal' embedded objects from websites.

i.e. You go to a random website with funny animations... A good example is a website with dancing kittens - It's a 'rather good' site. So you see this funny flash video, and you think, "I wouldn't mind that on my website" but there is no download link. In firefox you can goto Tools > Media and browse every piece of media on the page. You just choose the flash file and click save.

It's great!!

It's other great features (in list form) are:

o Tabbed browsing
o Middle click
o Bookmarks toolbar
o Search bar
And most importantly:

o SPEED - It just makes everything load faster. I dont know why, but it does.

Sorry to ramble *_*

It's what I do.

Please check out my site :P

ahh, the speed issue. Firefox doesn't obey the standards set out in the HTTP 1.1 RFC protocols:

Clients that use persistent connections SHOULD limit the number of simultaneous connections that they maintain to a given server. A single-user client SHOULD NOT maintain more than 2 connections with any server or proxy.

standards state that a web browser should use only download 2 threads at a time which Microsoft implemented in internet explorer. Firefox breaks this limit by default to render quicker - although quick for the client has a nasty effect on web servers, proxys and anything else inbetween you and the server.

There is a registry setting for internet explorer to use multiple HTTP threads - an exceedingly high number hammering away at a server isn't nice though so be careful.
